I have been working as a freelance private music teacher for almost a decade, as well as with organizations like Chicago Opera Theater's Opera For All Program in CPS Schools, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the Illinois Youth Center, Warrenville for incarcerated and at risk youth.
Private Voice Lessons
If you can talk, you can sing, it just takes practice. Every student has different needs and goals, but the basic principles of music and expression always apply. I focus on physicality, breathing, technique, musicianship, acting, and I accompany my students on the piano during our sessions. I teach my students to sing healthfully, with their whole body, and with their whole heart. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in private lessons.

Chicago Opera Theater, Opera For All Teaching Artist and Choreographer
With this amazingly unique and vitally important program, I help kids in Chicago Public Schools and beyond to explore their talents and imagination through singing, dancing, acting, writing, art, and composing as they create their very own opera from scratch. Check it out on Opera Pulse and the Chicago Opera Theater website!
Chicago Symphony Orchestra Associate Teaching Artist
This past year, I have been lucky enough to work with the "Fabulous Females" of the Illinois Youth Center, Warrenville for incarcerated and at risk female youth. Through a partnership with Story Catchers Theatre and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, I lead group and individual vocal instruction, conducted musical numbers during rehearsals and performances, and provided the girls with the chance to develop new skills, both musical and personal. This outstanding program helps adolescents that have experienced extreme violence or trauma to cope with those experiences through music and performance.
